Open play means that all adult players, know the rules and and can hit the ball , are invited to play doubles on the courts at the Wagon Wheel Tennis and Pickleball Center for a court fee of $2.50 (Coppell re sidents) or $3.50 (non-residents) per person.
WHY OPEN Play?
Open play promotes the maximum use of courts by filling free courts from the next available players regardless of skill level.
Currently we play Tues/Thursday and Sat 9AM-12
Wed nights 4:30 - 7 PM

Our main pickleball courts have just been resurfaced. The facility requires non-marking court shoes for all players
We are very crowded on Saturdays and Wednesdays so we will not have courts set aside for players just learning to play. For Open Play on Tuesday morning we will set aside two courts for players that arent yet ready for Intermediate level Open Play courts.
We encourage you to call and reserve a court ( 972-393-5687) to play with your friends if you want to play by different rules
Players can come and go without pre-registration and the only charge is the Wagon Wheel court fee $2.50 (Coppell residents) or $3.50 (non-residents). Wagon Wheel is a NO CASH facility. You must pay with a credit/debit card or purchase a Coppell Parks punch pass on site.
Open Play is for Adults (18 and over)
We follow the Coppell Pickleball Rules so everyone will have a chance to play with different players. No set partners or matches. If you have played with one of the players on your court already then change partners
For the beginner/novice player we have a dedicated “developmental” rack for those folks that need a little more experience with their game. Lessons are available at Wagon Wheel for new players. Lessons are encouraged until you have a basic grasp of the rules and can play a game. Call the office ( 972-393-5687 ) for details.
